Exciting news! Our Rare Starfish Collection is currently on display at NORD - the National Organization for Rare Disorders! G and I visited to deliver the starfish and they greeted us with a very warm reception (snacks included!). We got to share a bit about Cdkl5 and our fundraising efforts. We had a great time! Thank you, NORD, for your willingness to display our artwork!
About our collection...
Cdkl5 Deficiency Disorder is one of over 7,000 identified rare diseases. The starfish is important in the Cdkl5 community. Inspired by the story The Starfish Thrower, it reminds us to keep going and never give up. Our starfish have a zebra stripes shadow to represent the larger rare disease community of which we are a part. We are all unique, but we are united in hope for the future! Our Rare Starfish Collection is a series of twelve paintings, one themed for each month of the year.
